Do not abuse isotonic

Isotonic drinks are created using water, carbohydrates and mineral salts, such as sodium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium and potassium. By drinking them, the goal is to prevent dehydration and replenish electrolytes, especially after having practiced prolonged intense physical exercise. According to several experts, if we practice moderately intense sports for less than an hour, the best option is to rehydrate with water, as, in this case, isotonic drinks will do nothing more than increase the amount of mineral salts in the body. These increased levels lead to a greater possibility that hypertension or kidney problems will appear.
